This presentation is about achieving a completely open phone by developing OpenMoko in the current open source climate: How ambitions were fulfilled, compromises made, and key lessons learned.

OpenMoko make fun (open source-based) products that people can personalize to their hearts' content. Their first device is Neo — the world’s first totally open mobile phone.
