Sony eyeVio-User Generated Media Meets Creative Commons

Abstract

Integrating Creative Commons into eyeVio helped solving the copyright management issue faced by many user generated content services. Creative Commons provides eyeVio with a tool to give media consumers the freedom to take content across devices while maintaining the rights for media producers to keep control of their creations. This presentation will give an overview of Sony eyeVio service, explain how Creative Commons is integrated into eyeVio's user experience, and examine the value of Creative Commons in the emerging user generated content industry.
