(Full title: Creative Commons Licenses For Digital Cultural Heritage: A case study of the National Digital Archives Program)
Abstract
The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the applications of Creative Commons licenses in the NDAP (National Digital Archives Program) which has been the TELDAP (Taiwan E-Learning and Digital Archives Program) since 2008. Special concerns from difference stakeholders, from digital content holders, project managers to users, will be presented so as to highlight the challenges and impacts of the mechanism of Creative Commons licensing on digital cultural heritage.

Shu-Jiun (Sophy) Chen received her M.A. degrees in Library and Information Management from the Information Studies Department of University of Sheffield, UK in 1997, and now is a PhD candidate in the Department and Graduate Institute of Library and Information Science at the National Taiwan University.
Ms Chen currently serves as the Project Manager in the Program Office of the National Digital Archives Program (NDAP), and also the Co-PI of the Metadata Architecture and Application Team (MAAT) in the Research & Development of Technology Division of the NDAP, sponsored by the National Science Council, Taiwan.
Her research interests include digital libraries, metadata and knowledge organization, and human information behavior. She has published over 20 technical articles in refereed journals and conference proceedings
